1.       VISITOR CONTROL.         

  How to Control Visitors and Accomplish the Visitors Logbook

Visitor control is to process of screening out undesirable or illegitimate persons from entering the facility premises
Access control is the process of preventing the intrusion of critical spaces and areas within the facility by unauthorized persons.

3.1.   Principles of Visitor control

                       3.1.1.  Uncontrolled entry of individuals in a facility will provide opportunity for undesirable persons to enter and  cause loss or damage to resources. only persons with legitimate purpose shall be allowed  inside a facility.
                       3.1.2.  Non-organic person who have been allowed entry to the facility are limited to have access only in areas they have permission to go to.
                       
              3.2.  Purposes of Visitor Control

                         3.2.1.            To prevent illegitimate and undesirable persons from entering the premises;
                         3.2.2.            To account for all visitors at all times;
                         3.2.3.            To pinpoint responsibility for the visitors presence in the premises;
   3.2.4.            To have a mean to trace a visitor who may be involved in an unusual incident as the victim, culprit, witness or responder.
                         3.2.5.            To have a mean to trace a  visitor who may be have left something in the premises.
              




3.3.  Guidelines for Visitor Control
             
                         3.3.1.            The names of all employees  who are inherently authorized to have access to the facility must be submitted to the assigned guard for security purposes and reference.
                       3.3.2.              All persons with inherent authority to enter the facility must wear their identification (ID) at chest level.
                         3.3.3.            All persons who are not in the list must have a written authority from the concerned officers of the organization. Such authority must be valid only on the day the subject’s access is authorized.
                         3.3.4.            All persons other than those with inherent access authority to enter the facility and not wearing ID are deemed non-organic personnel and shall be processed as visitors.
                         3.3.5.            The guard is responsible for visitor control. He shall observe the following procedure in processing visitors:
·         Cordially greet the visitor.
·         Establish the legitimacy of the person requesting entry into the premises.
                         3.3.6.            For a person who has a particular person to visit, the guard shall first call the
